75TH NATIONAL CONSTITUTION DAY (AVBRH, WARDHA) 2024

On November 26, 2024, AVBRH, Sawangi Meghe, Wardha, celebrated the 75th National Constitution Day with an engaging awareness program aimed at patients and Allied Health Sciences (AHS) students. The event, organized by the Student Welfare Committee, featured a short drama highlighting the significance of the Indian Constitution and its relevance to daily life.

The performance was thoughtfully crafted and delivered by enthusiastic AHS students. It emphasized the fundamental rights and duties of every citizen, illustrating how these principles contribute to building a just and equitable society. Through relatable scenarios and impactful dialogue, the drama educated the audience on:

  • The importance of the Constitution as the cornerstone of Indian democracy.
  • Citizens' responsibilities in upholding constitutional values.
  • The role of healthcare professionals in promoting equality and dignity for all.

The audience, comprising patients, students, and faculty, actively engaged with the performance and appreciated the creative approach to spreading awareness about the Constitution.

The event concluded with a brief address by a representative from the Student Welfare Committee, encouraging everyone to reflect on the values enshrined in the Constitution and their role in fostering national unity. The program was a resounding success, leaving a meaningful impact on all participants.

WORKSHOP ON THE ROLE OF ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS IN HEALTHCARE (JNMC, WARDHA) 2024

WORKSHOP ON the Role of Allied Health Professionals in Healthcare (JNMC, Wardha) 2024

On November 12, 2024, a workshop titled “Role of Allied Health Professionals in Healthcare” was organized for Allied Health Sciences (AHS) students at JNMC, Sawangi Meghe, Wardha. The session was led by the esteemed Dr. Anurag Luharia, a prominent expert in healthcare education and workforce development.

The workshop aimed to highlight the critical contributions of allied health professionals in the modern healthcare system.

Dr. Luharia provided an in-depth understanding of:

  • The diverse roles and responsibilities of allied health professionals in patient care.
  • The importance of interdisciplinary teamwork in enhancing healthcare outcomes.
  • Emerging trends and opportunities in the allied health sciences field.
  • Ethical and professional standards expected in the healthcare environment.

Dr. Luharia emphasized the growing demand for skilled allied health professionals and their role as integral pillars of the healthcare team, working alongside physicians, nurses, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.

On November 25, 2024, a workshop on Lifestyle and Health was conducted for Allied Health Sciences (AHS) students to promote awareness about maintaining a balanced lifestyle and its impact on long-term health.

Dr. Roma Sirnaik, a distinguished expert in health and wellness, delivered an enlightening session, focusing on the interplay between lifestyle choices and physical and mental well-being.

She addressed key topics such as:

  • The importance of balanced nutrition and regular physical activity.
  • Stress management techniques for students pursuing demanding academic and professional paths.
  • Preventive measures to avoid lifestyle-related diseases.
  • Practical tips for time management and self-care amidst busy schedules.

The workshop featured an engaging blend of lecture-based learning and interactive activities. Students participated actively, asking questions and sharing their experiences, which fostered a collaborative and motivational environment.

Dr. Sirnaik encouraged the students to adopt small, consistent changes in their daily routines to achieve sustainable health benefits. She also highlighted the significance of being role models in health practices as future healthcare professionals.

ORGAN DONATION AWARNESS PROGRAM (RG. BHOYER COLLEGE, WARDHA) 2024

On the 3rd of August 2024, RG Bhoyar College, under the aegis of the National Service Scheme (NSS), conducted an Organ Donation Awareness Program to highlight the importance of organ donation and educate students about its life-saving potential.

Dr. Nikita Dhange, a renowned advocate for organ donation, was the keynote speaker for the event. She delivered an engaging and informative session, emphasizing the critical need for organ donors in saving lives and bridging the gap in organ availability. Dr. Dhange explained the legal, ethical, and medical aspects of organ donation, aiming to dispel myths and encourage active participation in this noble cause.

The session also included interactive discussions, where students and faculty members raised pertinent questions and shared their thoughts. Dr. Dhange provided insightful answers, fostering a better understanding of the organ donation process.

WEBINAR ON HCPC REGISTRATION DO’S AND DON’T’S (WARDHA CAMPUS) 2024

On May 25, 2024, a highly informative webinar on HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration guidelines was held at the DMIHER Auditorium. The event featured Dr. Darshana Kendre as the keynote speaker, an esteemed professional known for her extensive experience in healthcare regulation and compliance.

Dr. Kendre provided a comprehensive overview of the HCPC registration process, emphasizing both essential steps and common pitfalls. She began by outlining the significance of HCPC registration for healthcare professionals seeking to practice in the UK, highlighting its role in ensuring high standards of practice and public safety.

The webinar was divided into two main sections: "Do's" and "Don'ts." In the "Do's" section, Dr. Kendre advised attendees on the importance of thoroughly understanding the HCPC standards, preparing accurate and complete documentation, and maintaining continuous professional development. She stressed the value of honesty and transparency throughout the application process. Conversely, the "Don'ts" section focused on common errors applicants make, such as providing incomplete information, neglecting deadlines, and failing to keep up with CPD requirements. Dr. Kendre also cautioned against the use of unverified information and the risks of misrepresentation.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where Dr. Kendre addressed specific queries from attendees, providing practical advice and clarifying doubts. The webinar was well-received, with participants praising its clarity and relevance. Overall, it was a valuable session for all aspiring HCPC registrants.

GENDER EQUALITY (WARDHA CAMPUS) 2024

Institutional Forum for Women, of SAHS has organized the competition on gender equality held on 06.05.2024 at 2pm in Auditorium, Sawangi(M), Wardha in collaboration with IFFW. The theme of the programme was “Gender Equality”

Gender equality refers to the principle of equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities for people of all genders. It involves ensuring that individuals are treated fairly and have access to the same resources and opportunities regardless of their gender identity or expression. Gender equality is essential for promoting social justice, economic prosperity, and human development.

The programme began with the formal welcome address by Dr. Sunil Thitme, Dean, SAHS. Guest speakers for the program was Dr. Surekha Dubey Maam, Convener IIFW, DMIHER (DU), Dr. Babaji Ghewade sir and Dr. Ranjana Sharma maam. The event was highlighted with a skit play and poster presentation by School of Allied Health sciences.

IFFW contribute valuable slights and recommendations to promote gender equality and empowerment.

The winner for the same was rewarded on 6.05.2024 in Auditorium, IFFW

SEMINAR ON RESEARCH PEERS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM (WARDHA CAMPUS) 2024

On May 20th 2024, academic committee of SAHS launches the peer mentorship program under the guidance to Dean Dr. Sunil Thitame. This program aims to foster the research goal of the university by empowering every student to get involved in to research through the peer mentorship program. During the ceremony the dean appointed two outstanding students of the school of allied health sciences who have proven their research prowess over the time through publications to serve as peer mentors. Their role includes aiding their colleagues with research article writing.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION (WARDHA CAMPUS) 2024

Institutional Forum for Women, of SAHS has organized the competition on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 09.03.2024 at 11am in School of Allied Health Science Building, at Lecture Hall no.06, Sawangi(M), Wardha in collaboration with IFFW. The theme of the programme was “An Artistic Expression Invest in Women- Accelerate Progress.” The programme began with the formal welcome address by Dr. Sunil Thitme, Dean, SAHS of Dr. Anita Wanjari, Professor, MGSC & Dr. Madhuri Wane. During the event Dr. Pallavi Daigavane, Dean Academic, SAHS & Dr. Lajwanti Lalwani, Vice Dean, SAHS where also the part. A student from BSc & MSc 2nd year & 3rd year has taken the part in the competition under the category of Painting / Sculpture& Model/ Photography related to theme / Performance art. The winner for the same will be rewarded on 11.03.2024 in Auditorium, IFFW.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION (WARDHA AND WANADONGRI CAMPUS) 2024

The Republic Day Celebration at DMIHER University is an annual event commemorating the adoption of the Indian Constitution. Students, faculty, and staff come together to honor the principles of democracy, unity, and diversity that define the Indian nation. The celebration often includes speeches highlighting the significance of Republic Day, patriotic songs, traditional dances, and other cultural activities. Through the Republic Day Celebration, DMIHER University promotes a sense of national pride, unity, and solidarity among its community members while reaffirming the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. Schools, colleges, and other educational institutions across the nation also participate in the celebration with cultural programs, flag hoisting ceremonies, and patriotic activities. WORLD HEAD AND NECK CANCER DAY (MAIN CAMPUS) 2024

World Head and Neck Cancer Day is an annual observance held on July 27th at SMSC Hospital & was organized under the School of Allied Health Sciences (DMIHER UNIVERSITY). World Head and Neck Cancer Day to raise awareness about head and neck cancers and promote prevention, early detection, and treatment options. The day aims to educate the public about the risk factors associated with head and neck cancers, including tobacco and alcohol use, as well as the importance of regular screenings. It also serves to support individuals and families affected by these cancers, providing them with resources and information. Through various awareness campaigns, events, and initiatives, World Head and Neck Cancer Day strives to reduce the incidence of these cancers and improve outcomes for patients worldwide

"Ek Tarikh Ek Ghanta" is an initiative by the Government of India aimed at improving governance and public service delivery by addressing citizens' grievances in a timely manner. Translated as "One Date, One Hour," the event designates a specific day and time each month for government officials to directly interact with citizens and resolve their issues. During this hour, officials across various departments and levels of government are available to address concerns, provide assistance, and ensure prompt redressal of grievances raised by citizens. This initiative underscores the government's commitment to enhancing transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in its functioning while fostering citizen-government engagement at the grassroots level.

AZADI KA AMRUT MAHOLSHAV (MAIN CAMPUS) 2023

MUSIC COMPETITION IN MERI MATTI MERA DESH EVENT 2023

On the occasion of 76th Independence Day under the event f “MERI MATTI MERA DESH “our college has organized the Diya making competition to celebrate the Independence Day and our Veers and Veeranganas "Meri Maati Mera Desh" campaign is envisaged from 9th August 2023 as a culminating event of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. It is a tribute to the Veers and Veeranganas who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country. It envisions a unified celebration of India's soil and valour, commemorating the nation's journey of freedom and progress.

PLEDGE COMPETITION IN MERI MATTI MERA DESH EVENT 2023

The successes our students from the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) have experienced at the Intra College Sports Competition of DMIHER are highlighted in this activity report. In order to contribute to the "National Sports Day, the The Sports Committee of SAHS organized a Sports Competition i.e. Turf Cricket on 29.08.2023. Each college participated with great enthusiasm which made the competition more thrilling and enjoyable.

The successes and endeavors made by students from the school of allied health at the national assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) on July 12, 2023 are highlighted in this activity report. In order to improve the organization's visual appeal and cultural environment, the Art committee has committed to promoting art and creativity within the Organization. An Art Contest In order to promote creativity and develop artistic talents, the art committee organized and sponsored various painting exhibitions. The SAHES students participated in this competition with zeal, which inspired them to participate in art-related activities.
Theme which was focused by the art committee are:
1. Modern Art
2. Nautical Art
3. Portrait Art
4. Estogial Art
The art committee's unwavering commitment has helped to make NACC a more lively and beautiful institution.

LITERATURE COMPITIATATION

The successes and endeavors made by students from the school of allied health at The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) on July 12, 2023 are highlighted in this activity report. The committee was set up to review and evaluate the discussion on "Gender Equality." A deeper comprehension of the topic through the use of literature was the goal of the debate, which also aimed to cultivate critical thinking and persuasive arguments. The purpose of the debate was to examine the literary qualities of the selected subject and to examine the ways in which literature both reflects and shapes different facets of society and the human experience.

WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY

The youth committee has organized a blood donation drive on 14th June 2023 “World Blood Donor Day” at School of allied health Science (AG Houses). The event was to promote awareness about the importance of blood donation and contribute to the well-being of the community. The event aimed to encourage youth participation and foster a sense of responsibility towards saving lives through voluntary blood donation. The donation process was conducted in a dedicated and sanitized area and followed the basic protocol. After the blood donation, donors were provided with refreshments to help those recovers. The youth committee expressed their gratitude to the donor, acknowledging their selfless act of saving lives.
